1 · Opening the CMS & logging in

  1. Ask the website manager to add you as an editor (you need a free GitHub account — sign up at github.com if you don't have one).
  2. Open https://www.aapalcollection.com/admin/ → click Login with GitHub → Authorize.
  3. Done — no passwords to remember. Log in with GitHub every time.

मराठी: वरच्या लिंकवर जा → GitHub ने लॉगिन करा → झाले. पासवर्ड लक्षात ठेवायची गरज नाही.

2 · What you can change (and where)

To change…Open this in the CMS
Product price, photos, sizes, stockProducts (English) + Products (Marathi) — always edit BOTH
New / remove a productSame as above (＋ New / Delete buttons)
Shop phone, WhatsApp, hours, Google rating, mapShop Settings
Questions-answers on pagesFAQs (Homepage / Store / Menswear / Kidswear / Footwear)
Top moving strip messagesMarquee (English + मराठी lines)
One-day announcement (birthday, sale, festival)Marquee → ⭐ Special — fill it, publish; clear it next day to hide
Category names, descriptionsCategories (English + Marathi)

Not in the CMS (ask the website manager): page design, homepage hero layout, menu items, celebration pages.

3 · Example: changing a product price

  1. CMS → Products (English) → click the product → change Price → Save.
  2. Switch to Products (Marathi) → same product → same price → Save.
  3. Status shows In review → inform the owner → owner clicks Publish. Live in ~2 minutes — check the live product page.

नेहमी English + Marathi दोन्ही अपडेट करा — नाहीतर एका भाषेत जुनी किंमत दिसेल.

4 · The 5 golden rules ⚠️

  1. Never change the URL key (mens-ethnic-kurta-cream style field) on an existing item — the page link and language-switcher break.
  2. English + Marathi twins must share the SAME key — the CMS warns you; obey it.
  3. Photos: minimum 1200px wide, upright (4:5). First photo = cover. Big blurry photos = lost customers.
  4. Price / MRP are numbers only — no ₹, no commas (write 1199, not ₹1,199).
  5. Marathi typing: the word किड्‌स has a hidden joiner character — never retype it by hand; copy-paste from the existing text. If it ever reads किड्झ on the site, report it.

5 · How publishing works

Save → status Draft → In review → owner presses Publish → website rebuilds (~2 minutes) → check the live page. Nothing reaches the live site without approval. A published mistake? Tell the manager immediately — every change is reversible.

6 · If something looks wrong

ProblemDo this
Login popup hangs / GitHub errorScreenshot + exact text → send to manager. Do NOT retry 10 times.
Page shows old price after publishHard-refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R); still old after 5 min → report.
Photo not showingCheck it is JPG/PNG under 5MB; re-upload.
Marquee special won't go awayMarquee → empty the ⭐ field (both languages) → publish.
